Materials Coordinator

MATERIAL COORDINATORS- JD42

WAGE: $20/HOUR

HOURS: 1ST SHIFT, 730am to 4pm with possible overtime

CONTRACT: ONSITE

 

Description:

Coordinates the flow of materials and the filling of Kanbans in a department of the factory, which may include shipping and receiving. Ensures that the production personnel have the parts they need in order to produce the desired product. Oversees and ensures that the inventory is correct and on time and identifies problems and makes suggestions involving production schedules. Ensures material logistics follow  Production Systems principles. Coordinates the activities for the tactical execution of a production plan within a smaller group of the factory. Typically an initial position in the organization. Duties: Coordinates department(s) schedule performance for procuring, expediting, the movement of rejected material to source. Recommends procedures for specific situations that will maintain inventory accuracy and management. Finds root cause of material shortages. May provide recommendations for solutions. Utilizes Master Schedule to create and distribute daily production schedules. May include the processing of transactions for inbound/outbound materials. Audits material replenishment cycles and accuracy and may create material replenishment plans with assistance. Counts and resolves inventory errors and expedites parts to ensure uninterrupted production. Works critical shortage reports to ensure part availability.

Specific Position Requirements:

 

Support production departments/employees on part shortages or problems and drive for resolution and root cause of issues. In addition, communicate issues/resolution to the appropriate module representatives for follow up, provide recommendations for solutions, resolve consumption errors, maintain inventory accuracy/management, and implement engineering release and change management processes.

 

Bachelor’s degree is not required, but preferred

Must Haves:

  • Ability to work off-shift hours and overtime, as needed
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong skills using Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Material flow, Inventory Control or Supply Management experience

Requires an associates degree in business administration or related field or would consider two years of related purchasing experience in lieu of formal education.

 

Must have a minimum of one to two years of related purchasing experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.

 

Effective interpersonal and communication skills required to communicate in a clear and concise manner with suppliers, hospital staff, physicians and hospital leadership.

 

Proficient math, computer, and cost analysis skills.

 

Must have a general working knowledge of computers and department specific software (i.e. HealthStream, internet, etc.)

Technical Support Specialist

Hours are Monday-Friday 11:00am-8:00pm. 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to faculty, staff and students for all classroom audio-visual (AV) equipment, including troubleshooting and repair work
  • Manage the HelpDesk support calls from 5:00pm-9:00pm and evening events
  • Assist with special events
  • Assist with maintaining inventory or department equipment and supplies
  • Assist the Director of Media Services with orientation sessions and training programs
  • Supervise evening work-study students
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of the University’s Mission

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of Associate’s degree; Bachelor’s degree with computer emphasis is preferred
  • Ability to work independently as well as work collaboratively with others, and to be an effective team member
  • An interest in, and commitment to, helping faculty, students and staff teach and learn using technology
  • Experience with setting up and operating professional audio video equipment for live events and studio recordings
  • Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to train and assist others in a constructive, positive manner
  • Experience with troubleshooting Office 365 issues as well as video conferencing tools such as Teams and Zoom
  • Must be friendly, outgoing, reliable and punctual

Audio Visual Tech

  • Coordinate all audio requirements for incoming artists and/or events.
  • Set up and operate sound systems for in-house events.
  • Maintain audio equipment and related systems.
  • Maintain inventory, notify Production Manager of needed supplies.
  • Assist convention services with room turnaround as needed.
  • Provide property-wide audio visual support as needed.
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • One (1) year of experience in a similar position preferred.
  • Must be thoroughly knowledgeable and skilled in the mechanics of a variety of audio and visual systems.
  • Must have excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Fundamental understanding of theatrical and concert sound systems.
  • Basic understanding of stage lighting, audio/visual systems, stage rigging, and stage carpentry.
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.

Line Cook

  • Receive and prepare food orders for a specific type of cuisine (according to assigned restaurant) according to memorized standard recipes.
  • Coordinate orders for pick-up.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work station and storage areas at all times.
  • Control waste by monitoring proper rotation, storage, and quantity control.
  • Maintain inventory of station and order stock to maintain pars.
  • Consistently apply established safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must have a minimum of six (6) months of experience as a cook.
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for duration of shift.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and maneuver up to 75 pounds.
  • Other physical requirements of the position include but are not necessarily limited to reaching, grasping, bending, kneeling, and twisting at the waist.
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.
