The Dubuque YMCA / YWCA is hiring for several child care positions! We offer both full and part-time positions, with competitive wages.. All positions include a free Y membership and meals are provided if your shift is during mealtime. No nights or weekends are required and we are closed most holidays! Full-time staff will also be eligible for health and dental insurance, 10% retirement after meeting eligibility requirements, and 19 days of PTO during your first year of employment!
Join our team and make a difference in the lives of children in your community. Positions are available in our Early Learning centers (ages 6 weeks to 5 years of age), as well as our school-age Summer Adventures program. We are also looking to train staff for fall site supervisor positions as we return to schools in August of 2021.
Qualified candidates will:
Provide a quality experience to children and parents that focuses on building achievement and belonging
Be familiar (or willing to become familiar) with child management techniques and appropriate child behavior
Assists, following CACFP food programming guidelines, with snack preparation, serving, and clean up.
Be familiar (or willing to become familiar) with DHS regulations and obtain educational requirements as required by DHS
Stay up to date in trends in discipline challenges and behavior management techniques including redirection and conflict management
