Volunteer & Valet Services Manager

Overview

We are looking for a full-time, regular, exempt Volunteer Services Manager. Work hours will be Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, for 80 hours per pay period. 

 

Improve the volunteer visibility in the community and has overall responsibility for recruiting, organizing, training, and recognizing volunteers involved in a range of activities in both patient care and non-patient care areas of the hospital. Manage, redesign and develop a volunteer structure that integrates volunteers who effectively support the operations of the hospital with strategic communication, program development, and partnership to support both clinical and administrative areas of the organization. Develop and manage the Valet Services program.

Education:

 

 

 

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

Master’s Degree

Experience:

 

 

 

 

3-5 years in a supervisory position. 

Community leadership responsibilities for volunteer services

 

 

License(s)/Certification(s):

 

 

 

 

Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.

Certificate in Volunteer Management

Responsibilities

Operational & Staff Management

  • Recruit, screen, interview, evaluate, retain and develop volunteer programs.
  • Serves as a liaison between the state Senior Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP) Office and the on-site volunteer program.
  • Coordinate training programs for orientation of volunteers and for programs and activities through appropriate training resources.
  • Work with the volunteer coordinator to ensure appropriate volunteer assignments; provide supervision of volunteer employees and volunteers.
  • Financial management of volunteer & valet budget; budget review/reporting.
  • Manage and operate the parking valet services operations; scheduling of valet staff.
  • Provide recommendations and review staffing levels and utilization of resources within the valet department.
  • Develop and implement quality assessment measurements to ensure volunteers are meeting their program assignment needs and personal/educational needs.

Program Management

  • Establish recruitment plan to maintain an active source of volunteers for programs and activities.
  • Redesign and develop an enhanced structure for volunteers to effectively participate in existing and new areas of the hospital.
  • Develop departmental action plans and measures of success and annual review thereof, relevant to business and action plans.
  • Creates a strong community presence through volunteer efforts within and outside the organization.
