Job Overview

EXPERIENCED MASON NEEDED

WAGE: $25-$28/HOUR

1ST SHIFT FULL TIME

SUMMARY

Lays building materials, including concrete and brick, and constructs or repairs surfaces or structures. This is a journey-level classification. Working conditions include restricted movement, dirty environment, extreme temperatures, lifting or carrying heavy objects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supplies the masons

• Stocks material

• Builds scaffolds

• Makes mortar

• Cleans masonry units

• Works safely and is familiar with OSHA requirements

• Other mason tending duties required for masonry projects

• Must have driver’s licenses

• Must be self-motivated and willing work under varies weather conditions.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and have knowledge of related tools, masonry techniques, equipment, and materials. Skill in the construction, alteration, repair, and maintenance of masonry structures and surfaces.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 1-2 years’ masonry or bricklaying experience; OR, completion of a technical training program in masonry or bricklaying.
