DRIVER WAREHOUSE- RETAIL
LOCATION: DUBUQUE IA
HOURS: 40 HOURS PER WEEK, MUST BE ABLE TO WORK BETWEEN 9AM -8PM AND EVERY OTHER SATURDAY
WAGE: $15-$18/HOUR

JOB DUTIES:
  1. Demonstrate punctuality, flexibility, and professional, customer-friendly demeanor when interacting with donors, recipients, customers, volunteers, and staff.
  2. Drive company vehicles when collecting and delivering merchandise, as directed.
  3. Take responsibility for the daily inspection of and maintenance of the company vehicles.
  4. Help maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  5. Greet and thank donors and accept their donations.
  6. Assist in the loading and unloading of trucks, collaborating with other members of the team when necessary.
  7. Operate the baler and forklift for unloading and movement of merchandise in the warehouse.
  8. Assist customers in taking purchased merchandise to their cars as needed.
  9. Clean exterior of building, removing leaves, trash, debris as needed.
  10. Sort merchandise received and discard any merchandise that can’t be sold due to extreme wear and tear or damage.
  11. Perform various tasks within the store during downtime, including providing support with furniture on the sales floor, assisting with donations, and undertaking other duties as assigned to contribute to the overall operations.  
  12. Perform other duties that are assigned by the Executive Director, Store Director, and Assistant Store Director.
 
 
 
POSTION REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Able to drive box truck as directed. Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable on our auto insurance policy.
  2. Ability to greet customers, donors and neighbors with a smile and make a good first impression in the store, when picking up and/or delivering merchandise.
  3. Able to climb in and out of truck, safely operate a lift-gate, dolly, and furniture moving equipment.
  4. Able to become forklift certified. 
  5. Able to lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds on a regular basis. Ability to lift heavier items with assistance.  Ability to bend, twist and stoop consistently throughout shift.
  6. Ability to work on your feet for most of your assigned shift.
  7. Ability to understand and fully comply with all company safety directives.
  8. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in the outdoor elements throughout your shift.
  9. Self-motivated, organized, and able to work as part of a team.
  10. Must be able to pass DOT physical and drug test.
