Work hours will be nights, 7:00 pm - 7:00 am, for 72 hours per pay period, and as needed. You will be required to flex to other shifts as needed. There is a holiday and a every 4th weekend rotation.

Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of an approved Respiratory Care program
- Must be licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the State of Iowa
- Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist with the National Board for Respiratory Care
- Current CPR certification required. ACLS and NRP certification/training required within 3 months of start date
Responsibilities
The Respiratory Therapist administers respiratory therapy treatments by performing bronchopulmonary drainage; assisting with breathing exercises; monitoring physiological responses to therapy such as vital signs, arterial blood gases, and blood chemistry changes; and directing treatments given by aides, technicians and assistants. The RT also sets up and utilizes disinfection/sterilization equipment, ventilator therapy, pulmonary function testing, cardiac diagnostic testing (EKG, GXT, Holter), and blood gas testing and equipment calibration.
